Vibhor Steel Tubes Commissions ₹120 Crore Steel Plant in Odisha
Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL) has inaugurated a new ₹119.83 crore (approximately $14 million) steel manufacturing facility in Sundargarh, Odisha. The state-of-the-art plant adds 1.56 lakh tonnes per annum (LTPA) to the company’s production capacity, raising its total to 3.77 LTPA across India.
The greenfield plant is designed to produce a range of value-added steel products, including crash barriers, high-mast lighting poles, and monopoles—key components in highway safety and urban infrastructure projects. This move positions VSTL to meet rising demand for such products amid India's infrastructure boom.
Strategically located, the Odisha facility marks VSTL’s expansion into Eastern India, complementing its existing manufacturing bases in Maharashtra and Telangana. This regional presence is expected to reduce logistics costs and improve service efficiency for customers across the country.
The investment also reflects the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability, with the plant incorporating modern technology and processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency. VSTL aims to play a stronger role in India’s infrastructure growth story, driven by increased government spending on roads, transportation, and smart cities.
With this new facility, Vibhor Steel Tubes not only scales up its production capacity but also strengthens its market position in specialized steel products, aligning with long-term national development goals. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to diversify its product range and cater to increasing demand for specialized steel components in infrastructure and industrial projects.
