Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd has commenced production at its new greenfield plant in Sundargarh, Odisha, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion strategy. The facility, developed over 30 months with an investment of around ₹120 crore, officially began operations in July 2025 after receiving its electricity connection.
Spread across 24 acres, the Odisha unit has an installed capacity of 1.56 lakh metric tonnes per annum (MTPA), taking Vibhor Steel’s total capacity across its three plants (Maharashtra, Telangana, and Odisha) to 3.77 lakh MTPA.
The plant will manufacture ERW and GI pipes along with high-value engineered products such as crash barriers, transmission towers, high-mast poles, octagonal poles, and monopoles. This product diversification is expected to strengthen margins and expand the company’s reach into both domestic and export markets.
According to Chairman and Executive Director Vijay Kaushik, the new facility will not only enhance production capacity but also improve distribution efficiency and customer service. He added that the company aims to leverage this plant to drive margin expansion and explore new growth opportunities.
On the financial front, Vibhor Steel reported a net profit of ₹3.14 crore on revenues of ₹231 crore for Q1 FY26. For FY25, the company posted revenues of ₹996 crore with a standalone net profit of ₹11.77 crore, compared to ₹1,073 crore revenue and ₹17.72 crore profit in FY24.
