NMDC targets 55 million mt iron ore production in FY 2025-26.

Production was at 45.2 million mt in FY25.

Expansion of mines and digitalization-led growth.

India
's largest iron ore mining company, NMDC Limited, is all set to produce a record 55 million metric tons (mt) of iron ore in financial year 2025-26, senior company officials said.

In FY 2024-25, NMDC
achieved 45.2 million mt, posting consistent year-over-year. The company remains bullish about further increasing production on the strength of its operational efficiencies, mining capacity expansion, and adoption of cutting-edge digital mining solutions in all its projects in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.

This
aggressive production target is in sync with India'increasing steel demand, which is likely to grow strongly in infrastructure, construction, and automobiles. NMDC is also placing emphasis on debottlenecking its operations, streamlining logistics, and commissioning new processing units to complement this increased production target.

Industry
experts perceive NMDC'steady performance and expansion it to its the domestic iron ore segment and contribute to India's steel industry growth.
