Gujarat Urja Vias Nigam Ltd. has sent state-owned SJVN Ltd. a letter of intent to establish a 200 MW solar power project. According to SJVN CMD Geeta Kapur, the project's estimated construction and development costs are ₹1,100 crore.
SJVN subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) would create the ground-mounted solar project anywhere in India using an EPC contract. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will be signed with GUVNL after the tariff is approved by the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC), according to the statement.
The project shall be commissioned in 18 months from the date of signing of PPA. This PPA shall be signed between GUVNL and SGEL for 25 years, SJVN added. The project is expected to generate 508.4 million units in the first year after commissioning and the projected cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years is 11,836.28 million units.
