Woodfield Systems to invest $100 mn for manufacturing in India

Woodfield Systems International (WSI), a developer and manufacturer of bulk gas and fluid management solutions, has acquired Woodfield Systems Ltd. UK, an engineering and manufacturing company. The company intends to invest $100 million to begin production in India as part of an expansion drive. Over the following 36 months, it also expects to add 200 staff.

Woodfield Systems Ltd. UK's global business will be acquired through this strategic acquisition. Combining Woodfield Systems UK's technical expertise with WSI's executive team's industry experience will significantly strengthen the company's product and position worldwide. Additionally, it is looking to make more purchases in Europe and North America.

The company currently has two plants in Maharashtra and has a third plant under execution which will tentatively be operational in the next 10-12 months. Its clientele in India includes Shell and Indian oil, among others. The investment aligns with the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ – cementing the country’s standing as a global manufacturing and engineering powerhouse, said the company.

The company provides customised solutions for managing the safe transfer of bulk fluids and Gas, including cryogenic products like LNG & Liquid Hydrogen. Industries that WSI caters to include the oil & gas, petrochemicals, chemical, and aviation sectors with the design and manufacture of products & solutions such as Loading & Unloading Arms for Land and Marine Applications, Metering & Process Skids and Safety Access Systems. WSI is headquartered in India, with facilities in Spain, Mexico, Abu Dhabi & USA. The company currently has a global team of over 300 employees.
