Vedanta Sesa Goa's Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mining, Krishna Reddy, affirmed the company's dedication to fostering a sustainable and responsible approach to mining. Speaking on Tuesday, Reddy emphasised Vedanta's belief in the coexistence of mineral extraction and environmental conservation. He underscored the company's commitment to the highest standards of environmental stewardship during the Mines Environment and Mineral Conservation (MEMC) event. 

"At Vedanta, we believe in the coexistence of robust mineral resource extraction and environmental conservation. MEMC Week serves as a platform for us to engage with our communities, empower our workforce, and showcase our commitment to the highest standards of environmental stewardship," stated Krishna Reddy during the event. 

Navin Jaju, CEO of Sesa Goa Iron Ore, highlighted that sustainable development is a fundamental aspect of the company's business philosophy, encapsulated by the mantra 'Transforming for Good,' according to a statement by MEMC.

The Mine Environment and Mineral Conservation event, attended by approximately 1,200 people, served as a platform for raising awareness and recognising efforts in the areas of mine environment and mineral conservation. Pankaj Kulshrestha, Chief Controller of Mines (MES) at the Indian Bureau of Mines in Nagpur, graced the event as the chief guest.
