Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd (TARIL) is pushing the spotlight onto one of steelmaking’s most critical assets: furnace transformers. At IFEX 2026, the company showcased specialised transformer solutions designed for steel plants and foundries where electrical loads swing fast and operating conditions stay harsh.

Furnace transformers are essential wherever arc furnaces, induction furnaces, or ladle furnaces are installed—regulating and converting power to meet the intense demands of melting and refining. TARIL says its designs are built to handle high current, frequent fluctuations, and heavy-duty duty cycles that can quickly strain conventional equipment.

Alongside furnace transformers, the company highlighted its wider portfolio spanning power transformers, rectifier transformers, distribution transformers, and solutions for solar and industrial drive applications—supporting both domestic requirements and export markets.TARIL’s return to IFEX as an exhibitor after nearly a decade also signals renewed engagement with India’s expanding steel and foundry ecosystem, where reliability, energy efficiency, and long-term plant performance are becoming central buying criteria.
