Sambhv Steel Tubes Limited is preparing a major capacity expansion at its Kesda, Chhattisgarh facility, targeting a total finished-product capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). The planned scale-up is positioned to capture demand from India’s infrastructure and industrial build-out, where consumption of pipes, tubes and value-added steel products continues to broaden across construction, engineering and related applications.
As per the company’s stated plan, the expansion will be executed in phases. Phase 1 focuses on adding 180,000 tonnes of pipes & tubes capacity and 180,000 tonnes of stainless steel** capacity, with commissioning targeted for FY 2026–27. The phased approach is intended to align capex deployment with market absorption while progressively widening the product mix.
Alongside the capacity roadmap, Sambhv has indicated a strong growth outlook, stating it expects revenue to double by FY28. The company also highlights its distribution footprint of 600+ dealers across India, which it views as a key lever to scale volumes and deepen market penetration as new capacities come online.
