Jindal Steel has reported its strongest-ever production performance in fiscal year 2026, supported by higher output, improved sales and fresh capacity additions. In Q4 FY2026, the company’s steel production rose 6% quarter-on-quarter to 2.65 million tonnes, while sales reached 2.6 million tonnes, marking strong demand momentum across its steel product portfolio.
For the full fiscal year, Jindal Steel’s production increased 14% year-on-year to 9.25 million tonnes, while sales grew 9% to 8.7 million tonnes. Both figures touched new historical highs for the company, strengthening its position in India’s growing steel manufacturing sector.
The key growth driver was the commissioning of BOF2 and BOF3 converters, each with a capacity of 3 million tonnes per year. With this expansion, Jindal Steel’s total steel production capacity has increased to 15.6 million tonnes per year, giving the company a stronger base for future growth in domestic and global steel markets.
