AMNS India has inaugurated its first specialized scrap processing facility, marking a significant step toward sustainable steel production. The facility, aimed at enhancing steel recycling efficiency, aligns with the industry's growing focus on reducing carbon emissions and promoting a circular economy.
The new facility is expected to process large volumes of ferrous scrap, ensuring high-quality raw material for steelmaking through electric arc furnaces (EAFs) and induction furnaces. This initiative is in line with India's push for eco-friendly steel production, as scrap-based steelmaking significantly lowers carbon emissions compared to conventional blast furnace routes.
