Indian government-run company Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL), has shut down its 3 million metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) iron ore pellet plant at Mangalore in Southern India, as per some company sources.

The plan has been shut down owing to adverse market conditions and the downward trend of ex-Indiapellet prices, the sources said. No expected date for resumption of plant operation was disclosed by company sources.
