Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani declared a series of substantial investments in Gujarat, planning to bolster the state's position in green energy and digital technology. Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Ambani stated that Reliance will always remain a Gujarati company, echoing the sentiments of his father, Dhirubhai Ambani. “I will never forget what my father, Dhirubhai Ambani, used to tell me in my childhood – Gujarat is your matrubhoomi, Gujarat should always remain your karmabhoomi,” Ambani stated.

"Reliance was, is and will always remain a Gujarati company, striving to fulfil the dreams of my fellow 7 crore Gujaratis,” he added. The industrialist characterised Modi's journey from Gujarat to the global stage in two decades as nothing short of a modern epic. Ambani lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, attributing Gujarat's transformation to his vision. He focused on the scale of Reliance's investments over the past decade, stating, "Reliance has invested over $150 billion (₹12 lakh crore) in creating world-class assets and capacities across India in the last 10 years, with more than one-third invested in Gujarat."

The chairman outlined five key commitments for Gujarat's future growth. The primary focus is on establishing Gujarat as a leader in green energy. Ambani announced the construction of the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex in Jamnagar, covering over 5,000 acres, set to be operational by the second half of 2024. Ambani also highlighted the technological advancements in Gujarat, stating, "Today Gujarat is fully 5G enabled – something that most of the world does not yet have." This development, he noted, will position Gujarat at the forefront of digital data platforms and AI adoption, revolutionising sectors like healthcare, education, and agriculture.

Further, Reliance's Retail business is set to accelerate, focusing on providing quality products and empowering local farmers and merchants. Ambani also mentioned the establishment of India's first carbon fibre facility in Hazira and Reliance's role in preparing for India's bid for the 2036 Olympics by enhancing sports and education infrastructure. In his concluding remarks, Ambani expressed confidence in Modi's leadership and its impact on India's economy. He projected that by 2047, India would become a 35 trillion-dollar economy, with Gujarat contributing significantly to this growth.
