Chennai has opened its longest steel flyover, connecting T. Nagar and CIT Nagar, aimed at easing traffic congestion in one of the city’s busiest commercial hubs.
The new flyover, built with advanced steel structures, is designed to handle heavy traffic flow and provide smoother connectivity across central business districts. It is expected to significantly reduce travel time for commuters while improving traffic management in the surrounding areas.
Officials highlighted that the project demonstrates the city’s commitment to adopting modern infrastructure solutions that are both durable and sustainable. The steel flyover also reflects a growing trend in Indian urban infrastructure toward faster, modular construction technologies.
With this development, Chennai takes another step in upgrading its urban mobility infrastructure, benefiting both residents and businesses in key commercial zones.
