Vardhman Group has announced plans to establish a ₹2,500 crore greenfield steel plant in Ludhiana, Punjab, strengthening the state’s industrial landscape.
The proposed facility will focus on producing high-quality steel products to cater to automotive, engineering, and infrastructure sectors. According to company officials, the plant will bring advanced technology, generate significant employment opportunities, and boost regional development.
Punjab Chief Minister welcomed the investment, highlighting it as a milestone in positioning Ludhiana as a hub for modern, sustainable steel manufacturing. The project is also expected to attract ancillary industries and support the state’s ambition of promoting green and value-added steel production.
With this move, Vardhman Group aims to expand its footprint in the steel industry while contributing to India’s broader goal of becoming a global manufacturing powerhouse.
