The U.S. Department of Commerce has determined that revoking the anti-dumping duty (AD) order on certain steel threaded rod imports from China would likely lead to the continuation or recurrence of dumping. Consequently, the AD duty will remain in effect.
This decision follows the third five-year (sunset) review of the AD order, initially imposed in 2009. The review concluded that removing the duty could harm the U.S. industry by allowing unfairly priced imports to re-enter the market.
The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) is conducting a concurrent review to assess whether revoking the order would lead to material injury to the domestic industry.
