The Steel Ministry Secretary is scheduled to meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on March 31 to discuss the revival of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). The meeting aims to explore strategic options to boost the plant’s production and financial health amid mounting pressure to privatize.
The meeting comes amid rising concerns over the future of VSP, which has been struggling with financial losses and operational challenges. The government has been under pressure from trade unions and political parties to avoid privatization and find a sustainable revival strategy.
