India's JSW Steel Limited recorded consolidated crude steel production of 6.35 million metric tonnes (MMT) in the first quarter (April-June) of the fiscal year 2024-25, up a negligible 1% from the corresponding quarter of the previous year, according to a regulatory statement by the company.

The slower output growth was attributed by the corporation to mill maintenance scheduled for the quarter.

Despite the lower production, the company stated that it operated its mills at an average utilisation level of 87% during the first quarter.
