Jindal Steel and Power (JSP) announced the completion of a 15 MW roof-top solar project. Additionally, it started offering e-vehicle services for workers to go around its steel plant in Angul, Odisha.
According to a statement from the steel company, the clean energy plant is the biggest installed roof-top project in India and is estimated to produce 21 million units of green power annually, offsetting an 18,000-tonne CO2 footprint.
JSP Chairman Naveen Jindal unveiled a fleet of ten electric buses and 27 electric SUVs for employee transportation within the plant's premises, the report said.
