JSUL to revamp its hot strip mill with advanced automation and technology.
Focus on improving quality, efficiency, and sustainability in operations.
Move strengthens JSUL’s competitive edge in domestic and global markets.
India’s Jindal Stainless Utility Limited (JSUL) has announced plans to modernize its hot strip mill to enhance output quality and operational efficiency, aligning with its broader growth strategy in the stainless steel sector. The modernization project, set to be completed over the next fiscal year, will involve advanced automation systems and upgraded rolling technology.
The initiative comes at a time when the domestic steel sector is witnessing rising demand for high-grade stainless steel across construction, automotive, and infrastructure applications. By upgrading its hot strip mill, JSUL aims to improve product consistency, reduce production downtime, and boost overall plant capacity.
According to internal sources, the modernization will also focus on energy optimization and sustainability, enabling JSUL to meet both domestic and export standards more effectively.
This strategic move positions JSUL to better compete against imported materials, especially amid increasing price competition from global players, particularly Chinese mills.
