Hindustan Copper Limited (HSL), a state-owned company, reported that its copper concentrate output increased 11% Year over Year to 27,404 tonnes in FY 2023–2024. The company produced 3.78 million metric tonnes (MT) of ore in FY'24, a 13% Year over Year growth.
"During FY24, metal in concentrate (MIC) production of 27,404 tonnes was the highest in last five years... and ore production of 3.78 MT (was the) highest in last four years," the business stated in a filing with the exchange. The company said its flagship Malanjkhand copper plant in Madhya Pradesh produced 18% more ore and 9.4% more MIC year on year.
Khetri Copper Complex (KCC) in Rajasthan produced 11% more ore and 17.3% more MIC than the previous year.
Hindustan Copper Ltd, under the Ministry of Mines, is the only company in India engaged in mining copper ore and owns all the operating mining leases.
