According to Chinese customs authorities, China's steel bar exports during the January–April period of this year were 3.86 million MT, rising 9.4% year over year (YoY).
In the meantime, the country's wire rod exports totaled 850,000 MT, up 13.4% year over year.
Simultaneously, China's export volumes of angles and channels reached 1.8 million MT over the specified period, representing a 16.7% YoY jump.
China's exports of wire rod and angles/channels totaled 240,000 MT and 500,000 MT, respectively, up 10.8% and 20.9% YoY, while its exports of steel bars amounted to 1.08 million MT in April alone, rising 18.9% YoY.
