Chhattisgarh is widening its industrial ambitions beyond mining and steel by targeting electronics, semiconductors, logistics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing and advanced manufacturing.Over the past 18 months, the state has attracted investment proposals worth nearly ₹8 trillion, supported by faster approvals, simplified land procedures and a business-friendly regulatory environment. Under Jan Vishwas 2.0, the government has rationalised and decriminalised 279 minor provisions, reducing compliance pressure and improving clarity for investors.

Key reforms include automatic land mutation following registration and an online industrial land-diversion system offering approvals within 15 days. These measures are expected to shorten project timelines and provide greater operational certainty.

The strategy is already attracting major private investment. Polymatech Electronics has selected Chhattisgarh for a ₹100 billion semiconductor manufacturing special economic zone, strengthening the state’s entry into high-technology production. For the steel and metals ecosystem, this industrial diversification could generate fresh demand across construction, logistics, machinery, infrastructure and downstream manufacturing. Chhattisgarh now aims to transform investment proposals into operational projects while establishing itself as a competitive hub for advanced industrial development.
