The 64th Network Planning Group (NPG) Meeting, chaired by Ms Sumita Dawra, discussed three proposed projects under PM GatiShakti, totalling ₹9600 Cr. Ministries of Railways and Road Transport presented plans for a Telangana-Andhra Pradesh broad-gauge line, a Region Ring Road in Odisha, and a four-laning of NH-727 in Uttar Pradesh. These projects aim to boost connectivity, reduce travel time, and stimulate economic growth. The NPG emphasized the pivotal role of rail infrastructure in achieving India's economic targets and highlighted the need for integrated planning and coordination with local authorities.
