The IPSCDL has set January 30 as the deadline for completing ongoing sewerage work on two crucial road lengths in Panaji: Dr. Atmaram Borkar Road and Dr. Dada Vaidya Road. Sewer line installation, manhole building, and house connection provisioning are some of these tasks.
He said that of the total 19.89km, 14.4km sewer line has been laid in central Panaji, and 1.7km balance stretch is pending, which will be soon covered. IPSCDL CEO said that sewerage work is pending along the M G Road, and the stretch will be closed for vehicular traffic when the work is undertaken.
Rodrigues said that major works and expenditures happen between January and May and added that the work is hampered between May and December due to the monsoon and events in Panaji. He said that significant development was seen between October 2023 and December 2023 and that the same momentum will continue in the coming months.
