Sterlite Power secures ₹1,400 cr orders in Q4 2023 for power infrastructure projects

Sterlite Power, a prominent player in the private sector power transmission infrastructure development and global products and services provider, has announced that it has secured new orders worth ₹1,400 cr during the quarter ending December 2023.

These orders come from both domestic and export markets and cover a range of products, including high-performance power conductors, optical ground wire (OPGW), power cables, and other related items. Additionally, Sterlite Power has received orders for specialized Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services and turnkey EPC for extra high voltage (EHV) and high-voltage (HV) cables in the domestic market.

The supplied equipment will be used in various projects such as metro, data centre, and power projects. The company views these order wins as a reflection of the increasing demand for its product offerings in both Indian and international markets.

Manish Agarwal, the CEO of the Global Products & Services business at Sterlite Power, highlighted the significance of these orders in the context of the global push towards decarbonization. He stated, "With increased focus on decarbonization, our range of high-performance conductors, HV and EHV cables and specialized EPC services for cable transmission, continue to make a significant impact in the energy transition journey."

Sterlite Power has established itself with a portfolio of 33 completed, sold, and under-construction power transmission projects. These projects collectively cover approximately 15,350 circuit kilometres of transmission lines across India and Brazil.

The company's CEO emphasized that these accomplishments underscore the positive reception of Sterlite Power's products and services in the market. The growing demand for their offerings is seen as a testament to their contribution to the energy transition journey, aligning with the global trend towards cleaner and sustainable energy solutions.

Sterlite Power's announcement of securing new orders worth ₹1,400 cr signifies not only a significant financial boost but also a validation of the company's role in meeting the rising demand for high-quality power transmission products and services, both within India and on the global stage.
