The Ministry of Steel, along with its public sector undertakings (PSUs), will launch Special Campaign 5.0 from October 2 to 31, 2025, focusing on cleanliness, sustainability, and governance reforms.
The campaign will prioritise scientific e-waste management, mechanised cleaning, and the timely disposal of pending matters, including references from the Prime Minister’s Office, Parliament, state governments, and VIP communications. It will also emphasise digital outreach and public engagement to create greater awareness about cleanliness and citizen participation.
Special Campaign 5.0 will be implemented in two phases. The Preparatory Phase (September 15–30) will involve setting targets and groundwork, while the Implementation Phase (October 2–31) will focus on on-ground execution and monitoring.
Last year’s Special Campaign 4.0 helped the Ministry streamline record management, scrap disposal, and grievance redressal, while also optimising office space and clearing pending files. Building on this momentum, the new edition seeks to further embed a culture of transparency, efficiency, and sustainability across the steel sector.
The initiative aligns with the government’s larger Swachhata Abhiyan and underscores the Ministry’s commitment to cleaner, greener, and more citizen-centric governance.
