Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited(RINL) has strengthened its strategic partnership with National Research Development Corporation(NRDC) by expanding the scope of their collaboration to include a broader range of value-added services. The updated agreement will focus on patent filing, intellectual property, protection , technology valuation and commercialization, aligning with RINL’s goal of leveraging innovation for growth.
The enhanced partnership enables RINL to better assess the commercial viability of its in-house research and development(R&D) efforts. NRDC, a premier government agency specializing in technology transfer and commercialization, will assist RINL in transforming technical know-how into market-ready solutions and revenue-generating products.
This collaboration makes a critical step for RINL in building a sustainable innovation ecosystem. It aims to protect and monetize its intellectual property portfolio, thereby strengthening its position in the competitive steel industry. By tapping into NRDC’s experience in patenting and market linkage, RINL is positioning itself as a forward-looking steelmaker committed to technological advancement.
