                            Kingspan Group, a global leader in building materials, has partnered with Meranti Steel, a sustainable steel solutions provider, to jointly deliver low-carbon steel products across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
The partnership aims to promote green building materials and sustainable steel supply chains, addressing the growing demand for decarbonised construction solutions in the region. The collaboration will focus on producing pre-painted and coated steel with reduced carbon intensity, suitable for roofing, wall cladding, and infrastructure applications.
Under the agreement, Meranti will supply eco-engineered steel produced using renewable energy and circular processes, while Kingspan will leverage its global network to integrate these materials into energy-efficient building systems.
Executives from both companies highlighted that this initiative aligns with regional net-zero goals and supports global emission reduction targets set under the Paris Agreement.
The partnership marks a significant step toward greening the steel value chain in APAC, fostering collaboration between material suppliers and construction innovators to create sustainable, high-performance building ecosystems.
