Juniper Green Energy on Tuesday declared the commissioning of the 105-MW Jalkot solar power project in Maharashtra.
According to the official press release, the project will deliver power under a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company.
“The start of operations of this project almost nine months before the SCOD of the project is a tribute to our team’s exceptional work. It's their perseverance and dedication to sustainability that have made this day possible,” said Naresh Mansukhani, CEO of Juniper Green Energy.
The project is expected to produce about 200 MUs annually, the project will contribute to reducing the state’s carbon emissions by 1,78,569 tCO2 each year.
