John Cockerill India has secured a major ₹300 crore order from JSW Steel Coated Products for its Khopoli plant, giving the engineering company a strong boost in the domestic steel equipment space. The contract covers the design, manufacturing, supply, and supervision of erection and commissioning of a new Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL#3). The project is expected to be completed by May 2028.

The order is significant for both companies. For John Cockerill India, it strengthens revenue visibility and reinforces its position as a key technology and equipment partner for India’s flat steel and coated steel segment. For JSW Steel Coated Products, the new line is expected to support capacity expansion and improve value-added steel processing at the Khopoli facility.

The development also reflects continued investment in advanced steel processing infrastructure in India, as producers focus on higher-end coated products and long-term manufacturing competitiveness.
