India–US Trade Tensions Rise Over Steel and Auto Tariffs NMDC Limited reports a 38% drop in Q4 FY24 consolidated net profit RINL to Raise $23 Million Through Land Sales Amid Crisis

Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) has commissioned a 240 MT Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) at its Angul steel plant, adding 3 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of crude steelmaking capacity. This has raised Angul’s total capacity from 6 MTPA to 9 MTPA.
Alongside, JSPL has commissioned Blast Furnace-2, reinforcing the integrated steel flow to downstream mills. These expansions will cater to the growing demand from infrastructure, energy, automobile, oil & gas, and real estate sectors.
Chairman Naveen Jindal said the milestone will help Angul emerge as a global steelmaking hub, with JSPL now targeting 12 MTPA production capacity by FY26.
To support this scale-up, JSPL is also investing in a dedicated Paradeep port, slurry pipeline, coal pipe conveyor, power plant, and coke oven facilities, boosting operational efficiency and supply chain resilience.
