                            Jindal India Limited has started supplying coated steel sheets to white goods manufacturers, marking its entry into a high-value segment driven by demand from India’s fast-growing appliance industry.
The company announced that it has commenced commercial supplies of pre-painted and galvanized steel to leading manufacturers of refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and consumer electronics. These products are known for their durability, corrosion resistance, and superior surface finish, making them ideal for the consumer goods sector.
According to company officials, Jindal India aims to strengthen its presence in the value-added coated steel market, aligning with India’s push for domestic manufacturing under the “Make in India” initiative.
The firm’s advanced coating and color-coating lines are designed to meet international standards, catering to both OEMs and export markets.
Industry experts believe the move will help diversify Jindal India’s product portfolio, enhance margins, and support the growing demand for premium-grade coated steels in construction and appliances.
This strategic expansion underlines the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and downstream steel value creation in India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
