Shyam Metalics & Energy revealed its bold move into a greenfield growth project centred on aluminium flat-rolled products, with a capital expenditure of ₹450 cr. The Group intends to invest ₹450 crore in the same. The investment is intended to increase the company's capacity while simultaneously creating 1000 direct and indirect jobs. It will enhance the production of aluminium flat rolled goods to bridge the demand and supply imbalance, making the Shyam Metalics group self-sufficient in raw materials for the aluminium foil industry. The plant will be set up in Odisha.
With an annual capacity of 60,000 metric tons per year (KTPA) for flat-rolled goods, this development represents a significant step towards sustainable manufacturing and helping India's growing EV sector.
