                            The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has successfully launched the 10th steel bridge for India’s ambitious Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project, marking another milestone in the country’s first high-speed rail corridor.
The newly installed steel bridge, weighing around 673 metric tonnes, was placed over the Vadodara–Ahmedabad section and is part of the series of 28 major steel bridges designed for the project. These bridges are being fabricated in India using indigenous steel and advanced engineering technologies.
According to NHSRCL officials, the bridges are designed to carry trains running at speeds of up to 320 kmph, showcasing India’s growing capability in large-scale infrastructure and precision engineering.
The construction involves coordination with Indian steel manufacturers and engineering firms, ensuring compliance with global standards of safety and durability.
The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, funded by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), is progressing steadily with multiple civil and track works in advanced stages.
This milestone reflects India’s advancing expertise in high-speed rail construction and its commitment to building world-class transportation infrastructure.
