Tata Steel has unveiled India’s first mobile bore pile cage fabrication machine and inaugurated a fully automated Construction Service Centre (CSC) in Guwahati, marking a significant leap in construction technology and efficiency.
The innovative mobile machine enables on-site fabrication of bore pile cages, which are essential for foundation work in bridges, flyovers, and other infrastructure projects. This advancement reduces fabrication time by up to 50%, enhances safety, and ensures consistent quality.
The newly inaugurated Guwahati CSC is equipped with advanced automation, robotics, and digital monitoring systems to deliver customised construction solutions for clients across the Northeast. The facility will cater to the growing demand for ready-to-use reinforcement products, prefabricated structures, and precision-engineered steel solutions.
Tata Steel stated that these initiatives align with its “Shaping the Future of Construction” vision, aimed at digitalising and modernising India’s construction ecosystem through innovation and sustainability.
With this expansion, Tata Steel reinforces its leadership in construction technology, supporting India’s infrastructure growth with faster, safer, and more sustainable solutions.
