Cambodia’s Kampong Cham province will open a floating steel tourist port by next year, designed to boost river transport and support tourism growth.
The port, constructed with modern steel-based infrastructure, will accommodate tourist boats and river cruises along the Mekong River, providing improved connectivity for both local residents and international visitors.
Officials said the facility will also enhance logistics efficiency while supporting local businesses and tourism services. The project is expected to increase visitor arrivals, generate employment opportunities, and strengthen Kampong Cham’s role as a hub for eco-tourism and cultural travel.
This initiative is part of Cambodia’s broader strategy to expand tourism infrastructure and promote sustainable economic development across key provinces.
