JSW Steel reported a 12% year-on-year increase in consolidated crude steel output to 6.87 million tonnes (MT) for the current fiscal period of October-December. In the same time frame of the previous fiscal year, its total crude steel production was 6.14 MT.
The company produced 6.63 MT of steel from its facilities in India during October to December, a 9% increase over 6.06 MT during the same period last year. In India, the third quarter saw a 94% capacity utilisation rate.
From October to December 2022–2023, JSW Steel USA – Ohio produced 0.24 MT of steel, a threefold increase from 0.8 MT.
