Hindustan Zinc Ltd's mined metals output fell 1% to 299 kilo tonne (KT) in the fourth quarter of FY24, from 301 KT the previous year. The total amount of mined metal produced in 2023–24 increased by 2% to 1,079 KT from 1,062 KT in 2022–23.
Its refined metal production (zinc and lead) increased by 1% to 273 KT from 269 KT the previous year. Production remained consistent at 1,033 KT throughout the year.
The integrated silver production of Hindustan Zinc increased by 4% to 189 tonnes in the fourth quarter from 182 tonnes in the same quarter last year. During FY24, silver output increased by nearly 5% to 746 tonnes from 714 tonnes.
