Adani Power Limited has placed an order for ₹4,000 crore with state-owned engineering company Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) to establish the 1,600 MW Raigarh Phase-II Thermal Power Plant in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. In a filing, BHEL announced that it has been awarded a Letter of Award to oversee the construction and commissioning of two 800-MW power projects using supercritical technology at Raigarh Phase II in Chhattisgarh and to supply equipment.
BHEL's operations in Trichy and Haridwar will produce the boiler and turbine generator, respectively. It will take 31 months for Unit-1 and 35 months for Unit-2 to be supplied.
