India–US Trade Tensions Rise Over Steel and Auto Tariffs NMDC Limited reports a 38% drop in Q4 FY24 consolidated net profit RINL to Raise $23 Million Through Land Sales Amid Crisis

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the preliminary results of its review concerning the anti-dumping duty order on pre-stressed concrete (PC) steel strand from Malaysia.
The review, covering June 2022 to May 2023, assesses whether Malaysian producers and exporters sold PC strand in the US at less than fair value. Preliminary findings assign revised dumping margins, which could lead to updated duty rates once the review concludes.
The DOC will conduct further verification and consider stakeholder comments before issuing its final determination later this year. The outcome will directly affect Malaysia’s export pricing and market access for PC strand used in US infrastructure and construction projects.
This review is part of ongoing US efforts to enforce trade laws and protect domestic steel producers from unfair import competition.
