Tata Steel and Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) are in focus  as part of nearly 140 companies scheduled to announce their Q4 FY26 earnings on May 15. The results are expected to draw strong attention from the steel market, investors, traders and industry participants tracking demand trends, margins, raw material costs and future production outlook.

Along with Tata Steel and SAIL, major companies such as Power Grid Corporation, Cochin Shipyard, NHPC, Solar Industries India, Deepak Nitrite, Godrej Industries, Hindustan Copper and Welspun Living are also set to release quarterly earnings. For the steel industry, today’s announcements could offer fresh signals on domestic demand, export performance, pricing pressure and profitability across metal stocks.

The broader market opened on a positive note, with Sensex and Nifty trading higher, supported by gains in IT and auto shares. However, the Nifty Metal index remained under pressure, making Tata Steel and SAIL’s numbers especially important for market sentiment.
