Tata Steel has reported its Q4 FY25 operational update, showcasing a record-high India delivery volume, even as production saw a minor sequential decline. India deliveries stood at 5.52 million tons, up from 5.37 MT in Q3, driven by robust demand across automotive, construction, and infrastructure segments.
However, crude steel production in India dropped to 5.37 million tons, slightly down from 5.42 MT in the previous quarter due to planned maintenance activities. Despite this, the company highlighted operational resilience and efficient supply chain management.
In Europe, Tata Steel’s production and deliveries remained broadly stable, with 2.12 MT of deliveries and 2.23 MT of production. The European business continues to face headwinds from high energy costs and market uncertainties, but restructuring efforts have helped maintain operational stability.
Tata Steel remains optimistic about demand trends in India and is focused on expanding capacity, especially at Kalinganagar and the recently acquired Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd. Sustainability goals and digital transformation continue to be at the forefront of Tata Steel’s strategic roadmap.
