The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has achieved another major milestone in the Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train project by successfully completing the installation of the ninth steel bridge in Gujarat.
The newly launched bridge was erected over a busy railway line, requiring meticulous planning and execution to ensure safety and precision. Weighing several hundred tonnes, the structure highlights the advanced engineering techniques being deployed in India’s first high-speed rail project.
According to NHSRCL, the steel bridges are specially designed to withstand the operational requirements of high-speed trains, ensuring both safety and durability. Each bridge is being fabricated in sections, transported to the site, and assembled with high accuracy before launching. The project also includes the construction of underground tunnels, elevated stations, and advanced signaling systems.
The completion of the ninth steel bridge further demonstrates the momentum of the project and reinforces India’s capability in executing complex infrastructure works
