NHPC, the state-run hydropower powerhouse, has secured a 200 MW solar project for the Gujarat State Electricity Corporation's 1,125 MW renewable energy park in Khavda, Gujarat.
According to a corporate release, the Letter of Intent was granted on March 14, 2024, and GUVNL (Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam) performed the e-reverse auction for the project on March 2, 2024. The project costs ₹2.66 per unit and is expected to take 18 months to complete.
The project will create approximately 473 million units in its first year of operation, with a total output of approximately 10,850 million units during a 25-year period.
