Jindal Stainless Ltd. and IIT Kharagpur will collaborate on metallurgical initiatives such as primary alloy production and material characterisation. According to a statement from Jindal Stainless Ltd (JSL), it's an industry-academia partnership in which the top university will provide technical and operational solutions.
According to the statement, the partnership will focus on metallurgical projects such as primary alloy manufacturing, materials characterization, and process optimisation. "The partnership will enable us to harness research in metallurgy and translate it into tangible solutions that benefit the industry.
"We are committed to shape the trajectory of stainless steel technology and making substantial strides in the industry, contributing to our collective pursuit of an atmanirbhar India," JSL Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said.
According to JSL, under the MoU, IIT Kharagpur will conduct academic and industry research and offer technical consulting to boost productivity and streamline processes.
