Türkiye-based Gazi Metal has placed an order with Pomini Tenova for a foundation-free work roll grinding machine, marking another step in the company’s capacity expansion plans. The new system will be installed at Gazi Metal’s Karasu Sakarya facility, where it is expected to strengthen roll shop operations and support higher production efficiency. Gazi Metal, identified as Türkiye’s fifth-largest cold rolling manufacturer, is building on a long-standing relationship with Pomini Tenova through this latest investment.
The foundation-free design is a key advantage, offering greater installation flexibility, lower civil work requirements, and improved throughput. Company executives said the decision was shaped by strong past performance from Pomini Tenova equipment and reliable data integration between the roll shop and mill. Delivery of the new machine is scheduled for early 2027, with commissioning to begin shortly afterward. For the steel industry, the move signals continued investment in advanced processing technology and operational efficiency.
