Benteler Group has announced a €17 million investment to expand tube production capacity at its Schloß Neuhaus plant in Paderborn, Germany. The project is expected to raise output at the site by around 15 percent, helping the company meet stronger demand from the automotive sector and reinforce its position in Europe’s seamless and welded steel tube market.
The expansion includes a new drawn-tube production line, drawing preparation systems, a drawbench, added heat-treatment capacity, and upgrades for straightening, testing, cutting, quality control, preservation, and packaging. The drawbench is scheduled to begin operations by the end of May. The plant currently produces about 160,000 metric tons of tubes annually and delivers roughly 250,000 tubes per day to customers worldwide.
Benteler said the investment reflects its long-term commitment to German operations. Since 2022, the company has invested more than €30 million annually, while total investment is expected to exceed €50 million in 2026 as it continues expanding its Steel/Tube division.
